New in the library are two art exhibits. "The Art of the Book" display runs through September 16. Take some time to view books that have been turned into art! In addition, there is a special display in the John Kim Room called "Catch" on loan from the History Center in San Luis Obispo.

September 13 & 20, 10 a.m. - Noon Introduction to Meditation with Local Author, Ruth Cherry, Ph.D. Two Special Workshop Sessions!
If you missed it in April, these two workshops are now back by popular demand! Learn to know your inner world, maintain detachment by identifying with your Observer, practice presence and passion as a way of life in this two session workshop with local author of Meditation for Skeptics, Ruth Cherry. The Morro Bay Book Discussion Group meets at the Library on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. – Noon in the John Kim Room.
Join us in September as we read and discuss a novel that examines the history of cells, one that takes us on a journey through poetry and one that explores the magical gift of a child. We will also bring back an author who will provide us with two special workshops on meditation as well as enjoy an author that sings and cooks!
