Greenspace Creekside Art Festival
You€™re invited to join us for an afternoon of fun and sun at the third annual Greenspace Creekside Art Festival in the picturesque town of Cambria. Come browse original works of art for sale by local artists, accompanied by live music by the acclaimed jazz fusion trio, Five Minus Two. Sip a cool glass of lemonade or wine while you decide which piece would work best in your home or office.
Proceeds from sales of art work and refreshments will benefit Greenspace to help it carry out its mission of protecting our rich cultural and natural heritage on the North coast. Richard Hawley, Greenspace executive director, will provide a brief introduction to the natural history of the area, including Cambria€™s unique pine forest. Morro Bay Friends of the Library hold regular book sales to raise funds for the library. Friends also provide volunteers to support library services and operations, publish a quarterly newsletter and maintain awareness of library needs and services throughout the community. NOMINATIONS FOR MBFOL 2015 BOARD MEMBERS
Members are invited to run for positions on the Friends€™ 2015 Board of Directors. The Board consists of four officers, six members-at-large (or more if a proposed bylaws amendment is adopted by the general membership at our November meeting) and a representative to the Foundation of SLO County Public Libraries.
The officers are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Please refer to the Bylaws shown on our website, mbfol.org, for a description and responsibilities of the positions.
